From the Punta Gorda Building Official: COVID-19 Notice to Contractors

We want to inform all that the City of Punta Gorda Building Division is still running regular hours for both our office and inspections.

We would like to express the following in an effort to limit exposure to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus):

• Please ensure that you are not sick or showing any symptoms of COVID-19 when you come to do business in our office.
• When scheduling inspections in occupied structures, please ask the occupant(s) of the structure if they are sick or showing any symptoms of COVID-19.  Please note that when any of our inspectors sees that an occupant appears to be sick, the inspection will be cancelled, and you will need to make arrangements to reschedule.
• We will not charge a renewal/extension fee for any permit that expires when the work cannot be inspected due to occupants being sick.

We will notify you when or if any of these conditions change in the future.  We hope everyone remains safe and healthy.
